Engineers at Unitsky String Technologies Inc. Have Developed a System to Achieve Maximum Speed for the “Karat” uBus

Specialists from Unitsky String Technologies Inc. designed a traction power supply system for the transport overpass with a semi-rigid track structure, located at the uSky Testing and Certification Center. The “Karat” uBus model U4-212 has also been upgraded. As a result, the uBus can now reach speeds of 100 km/h and above.
The traction substation is crucial for ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the rolling stock. One of the advantages of this technical solution is cost savings. For example, to reduce the demand for additional power from the external grid, the electric motors operate in generator mode, serving to charge the traction battery packs.
The solution provided by UST Inc. facilitates efficient energy use from the traction network, reducing energy losses associated with the circulation of electrical power.
There is no longer a need for complex modules at traction stations, which are commonly used in traditional systems.
Thanks to the engineers’ expertise in optimizing the use of available materials, project costs have been significantly reduced.
