The State Committee for Standardization of Belarus has Approved uST Transport Standards
The State Committee for Standardization has officially approved the first national standard for uST technology. The document STB 2673-2025, titled “String Transport Systems: Terms and Definitions,” is officially published and will come into force on July 1, 2025. It establishes the key concepts used in describing the technology and will serve as the foundation for further regulatory development.
This marks a significant step toward integrating innovative transport solutions into urban infrastructure. Standardization will enable project planning, construction, and manufacturing to be carried out under unified regulations. Additionally, two more standard projects – for passenger and cargo uPods – have already undergone metrological and regulatory-technical expertise and have been submitted for approval to the State Committee for Standardization.
Earlier, officials emphasized that the ongoing discussions are entirely focused on solving the tasks of advanced standardization to facilitate the implementation of ambitious innovative projects.
Further development of new standards for string transport technologies is already under consideration. Any new proposals that emerge may be included in the state standardization plan for 2025.
