uSky Conducts Unique Tests to Assess the Comfort of the Karat uBus

The uSky Test & Certification Center hosted unique tests of the 25-seat uBus "Karat". During the assessments, engineers analyzed how comfortable passengers felt while travelling in the uBus.
The tests aimed to achieve several objectives: assess travel comfort, compare real-world dynamics with mathematical models, and develop recommendations for further optimization of the Karat design and control system.

In the initial phase, engineers measured dynamic parameters using specialized equipment, including accelerometers, gyroscopes, and vibration sensors. These devices recorded movement metrics such as oscillation amplitudes on uneven surfaces, speed changes during acceleration and braking, and ride smoothness. The collected data provided an objective assessment of the Karat uBus against modern comfort standards.

Equally important were insights based on passenger perceptions. Participants travelled inside the uBus and provided feedback on ride smoothness, noise levels, and overall travel comfort. This subjective input was then compared with the objective measurements to create a comprehensive evaluation.
Testing of the uBus is ongoing. The data collected will help to maximize the performance of the Karat.
