TUV SW Has Assessed the Automation of the uST Complex at the uSky Centre

TUV SW Standardization Certifications, an international independent organization, has checked the performance of Test Track No. 1 against GoA4 level standards, specifically on Unattended Train Operations (UTO).
GoA4 is the highest level of automation, where the system takes over full control of the vehicle. The operator's role is reduced to monitoring its operation and intervening in case of abnormal situations, as well as to maintenance whenever necessary. Today, there are few fully automated systems at the GoA4 level, but it is believed that these are the ones that will take priority in the near future.
Based on their assessment of the uST complex, TUV SW pointed out the following:
- Safe operation and movement of the train (uCar) is ensured.
- Unattended / fully-automated train (uCar) driving is ensured.
- Guideway supervision is ensured.
- Safe passenger transfer supervision is ensured.
- The detection and management of emergency situation is ensured.
- The controlled operation of Test Track No. 1 at the uSky Test & Certification Centre in fully automated mode confirmed the fulfillment of the safety requirements provided by the automatic control system of the transport complex.
- The automation corresponds to the GoA4 level (Unattended Train Operation (UTO)) in accordance with IEC 62290 according to the criteria of ensuring safe traffic conditions, driving and controlling the vehicle, monitoring the path and boarding / disembarking passengers, as well as identifying emergency situations.
- The main basic functions for driving a vehicle are carried out in accordance with the requirements established for the GoA4 automation level.
