The uSky Center in Sharjah: How are uPods Adapted to Tropical Operating Conditions?
The uSky Test and Certification Center (Sharjah, UAE) presents uST solutions adapted to the climate of the Middle East. The operating rules, the schedule of movement, as well as the work of operators of dispatch service are worked out there in real time.
Research and development in the tropics provide a way to optimize the operation of uST transport and infrastructure systems considering weather conditions. uST Solutions can be integrated into the local urban infrastructure to arrange transport services in remote areas of Sharjah.
Test sections of uST tracks show the technical potential of the solutions for passenger and cargo transportation. Tropical uPods have undergone a number of changes thanks to which passengers will be comfortable while traveling in hot and humid weather. In addition, in 2021, uST Transport and Infrastructure Complex, located in Sharjah, was certified to the safety requirements by the independent international organization TUV SW.
